Which Data Protection Rules Apply
This website is operated from the United Arab Emirates and we act for clients across several jurisdictions. Where our processing of your personal data falls within the scope of the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation, we comply with it, including in respect of the rights set out below.
If you are located in the European Union and wish to raise a data protection matter with us, write to info@parastoolegalgroup.com and we will respond within the applicable time limits.
What We Collect
Information you give us. When you complete the contact form or write to us, we collect your name, email address, telephone number, country and whatever you choose to tell us about your situation, including details of your immigration or corporate objectives.
Information generated by using the site. Our website stores a small amount of data in your browser's local storage so it can remember which page you were viewing. This is technical and necessary for the site to work. It is not used to profile you or to follow you across other websites.
We do not knowingly collect data from minors through this website.
Why We Process It
To answer your enquiry and hold the consultation you request. We do this because you have asked us to, and because we have a legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
To provide our services, if you become a client. We do this to perform our agreement with you.
To meet identification and record-keeping obligations where they apply to us or to the counterparties we work with.
We do not use your details to send marketing communications unless you have asked us to.
Sensitive Information
Immigration matters can involve information about nationality, family circumstances, health or personal history. Where you provide such information, we use it only to advise you on your matter and, where required, on the basis of your explicit consent or because it is necessary to establish, exercise or defend a claim.
Please do not send sensitive documentation through the website contact form. Once we are in contact we will tell you how to send it securely.
Who We Share It With
Only where it is necessary for your matter: with Spanish public authorities and consular offices in connection with your application; with sworn translators, notaries, registries and other external professionals engaged for your file; and with our technology providers, who act on our instructions under written agreements.
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising purposes.
International Transfers
We act for clients across the Middle East and process files that are submitted to authorities in Spain. Providing our services therefore involves transferring personal data between countries, including between the United Arab Emirates, Spain and your own country of residence.
Where such transfers take place we rely on their being necessary for the performance of our agreement with you, or for the conclusion or performance of an agreement concluded in your interest, or on another basis permitted by applicable data protection law.
How Long We Keep It
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are kept for a limited period and then deleted.
Client files are kept for the duration of the matter and thereafter for as long as we are required to retain them in order to meet our record-keeping obligations and to respond to any question arising from the work. We review retained records periodically and delete what is no longer needed.
Your Rights
You may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct it or delete it. You may ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our using it. You may ask us to transfer it. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time, which does not affect anything done beforehand.
Write to info@parastoolegalgroup.com. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on a request.
If you are in the European Union and consider that we have not handled your data properly, you may complain to the supervisory authority of your country of residence. In Spain that is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (www.aepd.es).
Confidentiality and Security
We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk involved, and everyone working on your matter is bound by confidentiality obligations.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date of the most recent version appears at the top of this page.
